When my son was only 3 years old and my daughter was only 11 months, Santa sent one of his special elves to live with us for the month of December.  Buddy the Elf  has special Elf magic that makes him come alive at night and do lots of fun and sometime mischevious things.  That was back in 2003, and Buddy has come back every year to visit my kids, last year bringing his great-grandelves to start a new tradition.
